No detail is watered down in the book or the characters and that is what makes it stand out. It’s a dark story with uncomfortable imagery and a moral weave, and it’s meant to make you feel uneasy. The story is told from the perspectives of Wendy, local reporter Stacy Flynn, and high school student Alice a story of murder, revenge and violence, leading to a shocking ending.
